Open Interval by Lyrae Van Clief-Stefanon

Open Interval  by Lyrae Van Clief-Stefanon is a book that explores how to measure distance of all sorts between celestial bodies, physical bodies, bodies and thoughts, names and truths.  Van Clief-Stefanon's poems range in topics from blues, to paintings, her mother's memories, to constellations.   Themes of her own name (also a constellation) to Dear John letters punctuate the collection. The title itself, a math term of a line that doesn't have end points, speaks more to the value of the journey between. Quotes from astronomers, musicians and writers are italicized and noted in the back.
