Anarcha Speaks: A History in Poems by Dominique Christina tells the story of a female slave who was experimented upon. The poems are told from Anarcha's perspective and in what Christina's impression of her voice would be.

Italics are used to differentiate between different voices and the poems are composed in two sections: "She Is a Woman Therefore She Remembers" and "The Juxtaposition of Experience". It includes a forward by Tyehimba Jess and is a National Poetry Series winner.
