Hardly War by Don Mee Choi

Hardly War by Don Mee Choi uses a variety of formats in three different sections ("Hardly War", "Purely Illustrative", and "Hardly Opera") to discuss the Korean War. Choi uses accounts told by her father to compose some of the poems, as well as news articles and photos. Choi also includes the use of quotes from news programs. In her poetry she reflects on the American perspective of the war. Many of her pieces form conversations.
